Range Rover Evoque battery keeps dying – is it the car or the battery? Publicado por f.orumbacklinks.2@gmail.com
I'm on my third battery in two years with my 2017 Evoque and I'm honestly considering selling the car because of it. The first battery died after about 10 months, the second after 8 months, now this one is starting to crank slow after only 6 months. I've had the alternator checked, it's fine. I've had parasitic draw tests done, no obvious drain. The car has no aftermarket electronics. I'm starting to think there's something wrong with the charging system that only shows up intermittently. The weird thing is the car is fine on long drives but after a few days of short trips it struggles. I've read that Land Rovers can be sensitive to battery type and need the exact spec. I found a place that offers the
Premier Land Rover Battery Installation Service from Battery Zone UAE
and they claim to use the correct AGM batteries and reset the battery monitoring system. Has anyone here had a similar issue with an Evoque or Disco Sport? Did resetting the BMS after a new battery fix it? I don't think any of the shops I used did any kind of reset. Could that really be my whole problem? Also is there a software update for the charging system? The dealer mentioned something once but I thought they were just upselling. I love the car otherwise but this is driving me insane. Any advice from Land Rover owners who've beaten this issue would be amazing. Please help before I give up on this car. Thanks.
